A native of Savannah, Georgia, Rufus is a proud graduate of Savannah State University and has pursued advanced studies at the University of Florida and the National Baptist Theological Seminary.

With more than 25 years of public speaking experience, Rufus has inspired audiences across corporate, educational, faith-based, and community platforms. His dynamic presentations are known for blending real-world insight, faith-driven wisdom, and practical motivation that moves people from inspiration to action.

In 2015, Rufus founded Raisin’ the Rufe Communications, a motivational speaking brand built on the belief that every person has the ability to elevate their mindset, unlock their potential, and create meaningful impact. His message consistently energizes listeners toward personal growth, leadership development, and active accomplishment.

Rufus brings a unique perspective shaped by his experience as a former business owner, corporate executive, and ordained minister of over 20 years. Off the stage, he is a devoted husband of 25 years to his wife Cynthia, a proud father of four, and a grandfather of four.
